Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, the contact page reaches a person.
What is NUVOBITS?
NUVOBITS is a trading terminal that runs in a web browser. You get a chart, a watchlist, an order ticket and a positions dock in one workspace, without installing anything. It offers demonstration accounts, which trade virtual funds against real market prices, and live accounts, which hold real money.
Is the demo account really free?
Yes. Opening a demo account costs nothing and needs no payment card. The account is credited with a virtual balance of 10,000 EUR, which is not real money and cannot be withdrawn.
Do I need to install anything?
No. There is no download, no plugin and no installer. NUVOBITS runs in any modern browser, and your workspace is the same on any machine you sign in from.
Where do your prices come from?
From market data feeds. Currency pairs and gold are priced from Financial Modeling Prep; the crypto pairs are priced from Binance. We apply a fixed markup per instrument on top of the source price, and the resulting bid and ask are what you see and what you trade against.
Are the prices on a demo account real?
The prices are real; the money is not. Your demo positions are opened and closed against live market prices, so the profit and loss you see reflects what the market actually did. Only the balance is virtual.
Why does the chart price sometimes differ from my fill?
The chart streams quotes straight from the exchange so it can move smoothly. Fills, stops and margin are priced from a snapshot our server takes every few seconds, and that snapshot is the authoritative one. If it is more than fifteen seconds old, the platform rejects the order rather than filling you at a price it cannot stand behind.
Which instruments can I trade?
Seven at launch: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY and EURGBP in currencies, XAUUSD in metals, and BTCUSD and ETHUSD in crypto. We add instruments only when we have a feed we can price them from, which is why indices, oil and single stocks are not on the list yet.
What leverage do demo accounts use?
Demo accounts are opened at 1:30. The order ticket shows the margin a position will require before you place it, and the platform closes positions automatically if your margin level falls to 50 per cent.
Can I trade with real money?
A live account is opened deliberately, and where verification is required it must be approved first, with two-factor authentication enabled. It opens with a zero balance; what funding methods are available depends on the deployment.
Why do you ask for identity documents?
A demonstration account needs no documents. Verification is what opens a live account, where identity checks are a legal requirement for financial services in Europe. Documents are stored outside the public web root, encrypted at rest, and are only ever served through an authenticated request.
How do I fund an account?
You do not, and you should not be asked to. A demo account is credited automatically when it is created, and you can top it back up from the funds screen at any time. If anyone asks you to send money to NUVOBITS today, it is not us.
Which languages is NUVOBITS available in?
Six: English, Italian, Albanian, German, French and Spanish. You can switch language from any page, and the platform remembers your choice on your account. Amounts are shown in euro throughout.
How is my data handled?
Passwords are stored as argon2id hashes and never in a readable form. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not hand your IP address to a font CDN. Analytics load only if you accept them; decline and no measurement script is fetched at all.
Can I use NUVOBITS on a phone?
The marketing pages and the client area work on a phone. The terminal itself is built for a larger screen — a chart, watchlist, ticket and positions dock side by side need the room — so a tablet or laptop is the better place to trade.
